Chapter 433 Time Freezes (3)

Chapter 433 Time Freezes (3)

The true third great war to defend Azeroth... the Scourge descends.

(Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne 2004)

Twenty years after the opening of the Dark Portal!

The prince of Lordaeron crossed the sea to the north, promising to eradicate the threat of the undead plague... find the culprit, and kill the dreadlord Mal'Ganis... However, he soon discovered that his strength was insufficient, and the number of undead Scourge on the northern continent of Northrend was even more terrifying...

Arthas, who craved power, along with his dwarven warrior mentors Muradin and Bronzebeard, discovered a mysterious cave.

Sealed within the cave was the runic magic sword Frostmourne. The powerful Frostmourne tempted the prince to pull it out... But Arthas, who had so painstakingly obtained the treasure, was instantly engulfed by the power of death the moment he picked up Frostmourne. He became the Lich King's servant, a human death knight...

Muradin and Bronzebeard were stunned. When they awoke, all that remained was a discarded, massive two-handed warhammer, [Revenge of the Light]...

Turning around, it's been 20 years since the Dark Portal opened! Arthas has returned from his northward campaign, and Lordaeron is filled with celebration... Flowers line the roads, bells toll... The old king awaits his beloved son's return in the throne room of Lordaeron's capital.

Death Knight Arthas, accompanied by his minions, entered the royal capital. Upon meeting his revered father, he drew the runeblade Sorrow and swiftly beheaded his father, severing the head of the benevolent King Tyrese Menethil II...

He then used his father's ashes as the casket for Kel'Thuzad's soul. Following this, Lordaeron was attacked from within by Arthas's Scourge army... Wherever the plague touched, nothing was spared...

Nine out of ten houses are empty.

Then comes the history that Lorraine knows well, the origins of the Forgotten.

Death Knight Arthas slaughtered his way through the land, first leveling Lordaeron, then annihilating Northshire, and finally reaching the gates of the Elven Empire in Quel'Thalas... With the help of a traitor, he stormed Silvermoon City, killing the Sun King and Silvermoon Ranger-General Sylvanas...

And then he resurrected Sylvanas with the cursed sword Frostmourne, transforming her into the first elven banshee...

They then corrupted the High Elves' sacred grounds, using the Sunwell's powerful energy to resurrect Kel'Thuzad as a lich... Next, they marched south to invade Dalaran, seize the Three Artifacts, and summon Archimonde...

(These three artifacts appear in Dalaran one minute and Outland the next; the Dark Portal is clearly closed. Can you honestly say this isn't a bug in a parallel universe...?)

However, during this gap of more than 10 years, Aegwynn resurrected the soul of his son Medivh.

Medivh became the Blood Raven Prophet, traversing the river of time to prevent the Burning Demon from returning...

Before Arthas's return, Medivh had visited Lordaeron's capital, warning the old King Tyrese that the Scourge plague in Lordaeron was no ordinary disaster... Unfortunately, only Thrall and Jaina heeded the prophet Medivh's words and took some of the refugees with them ahead of time...

......

Twenty-one years after the opening of the Dark Portal, the Battle of Mount Hyjal took place...

Previously, Arthas stormed Dalaran, killing Archmage Antondanis, the city's lord, and his companions. The demon high lord Archimonde the Defiler was successfully summoned to Dalaran by the death knight Arthas and the lich Kel'Thuzad...

Archimonde then single-handedly destroyed the mage holy city of Dalaran, and led his army across the sea to attack the continent of Kalimdor.

The goal is to reach the new World Tree atop Mount Hyjal, and the second Well of Eternity hidden beneath it...

Thanks to the prophet's warning, Thrall's new Horde army and Jaina's human heroes, with the assistance of the Dragon Aspects, the Night Elf Archdruids Malfurion & Stormrage, and High Priestess Tyrande of the Moon, joined forces to fight against Archimonde and his demonic minions, as well as the Scourge's undead servants...

On Mount Hyjal, Archimonde finally broke through the obstacles and reached the summit, only to be killed by countless sprites summoned by Malfurion, along with the World Tree...

The Third War has ended, and the demonic invasion plan has failed once again, but the threat of the Scourge's minions has not been eliminated...

......

Twenty-two years after the opening of the Dark Portal, Kil'jaeden the Deceiver, after his defeat in the Battle of Mount Hyjal, settled scores with traitors and demanded that Illidan the Demon Hunter perform a ritual to destroy the remnant soul of the Lich King Ner'zhul within the Frozen Throne. Unfortunately, this was stopped by his brother Malfurion and sister-in-law Tyrande, who argued that Illidan was harming Azeroth...

......

After the demonic army's defeat at Mount Hyjal, the Lich King prepared to seize power, summoning Arthas back to the Frozen Throne in Northrend for a fusion. Ner'zhul planned to merge with the Death Knight Arthas, thus allowing him to completely turn the tide and break free from demonic control...

Illidan failed to complete the demon lord's orders and fled to Outland with his newly recruited henchmen, the blood elf prince Kael'thas, who was determined to seek revenge and power, and the Naga sea siren Vashj.

Kil'jaeden found Illidan, the demon hunter who had usurped Outland's territory, and threatened him that he must also kill the Lich King Ner'zhul's broken soul, Frostfire.

Illidan can only act on command.

Under the pretense of rebuilding its strength, it introduced the newly recruited Blood Elf Prince Arthas and Naga Lady Vashj to Kil'jaeden... stalling for time... The deceiver was quite pleased with the Blood Elf Prince and his followers, and the Blood Elf Prince Kael'thas also discovered that the more powerful demon lord was actually a demigod...

The two secretly colluded, with Kael'thas switching sides and siding with a new master: the demons of the Burning Legion...

He secretly learned fel magic, drew power from the void, and, at the behest of the Deceiver, returned to the Sunwell to construct a new portal.

......

23 to 24 years after the opening of the Dark Portal...

The red dragon Kalista (also known as the Dalaran archmage Krasus, who disguised himself as Rhonin's teacher) absorbed the remaining energy of the Sunwell and created the avatars of Anveena and Tigo.

The blood elf traitors Darkan and Drasil attempted to use the remaining power of the Sunwell to achieve godhood but were destroyed. Anveena then remained at the Sunwell, under the protection of Lor'themar and Theron, until Prince Kael'thas returned and secretly seized her.

......

In Feralas, Twilight Lord Cho'gall turned Garona into his servant.

Twilight's Hammer enters Silithus to join C'Thun.

After the Battle of Mount Hyjal, the various races lived in peace for a short period... The Night Elf World Tree Teldrassil was planted on a new island off the Darkshore, and the entire island was a World Tree.

The orcs established a new capital, Orgrimmar, in the Barrens of Durotar, named after Orgrim and the Doomhammer.

The Kul Tiran navy, led by Commander Daelin and Proudmoore, landed on the Durotar coast to hunt down the orcs. Jaina, along with Rexxar, Vol'jin, Thrall, and others, killed her own father...

Jaina and Thrall reached a peace agreement, with each settling down and developing their respective settlements on the coast of Kalimdor...

Soon the Forsaken joined the Horde.

Twenty-five years after the opening of the Dark Portal (at the end of Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne), the new Lich King Arthas awakens, resurrecting Sindragosa, the Blue Dragonflight's consort, and transforming him into a frost dragon, commanding the undead army, ready to confront the so-called Argent Crusade...

That same year, King Varian of Stormwind mysteriously disappeared... The real adventure in World of Warcraft was just beginning...

Meanwhile, on a certain day of that year, in a place where the seasons were indistinguishable, in the perpetually shrouded and plague-ridden Land of the Dead, our protagonist, Lorraine, inexplicably awoke... only his body now contained an incompetent and ignorant teacher...

The Alliance and the Horde are still fighting for territory everywhere...

Lorraine, a lowly soldier of a tribe, arrived in the contested territory and endured many hardships, all to complete two missions with no chance of survival. Unexpectedly, he was trapped on the Island of Atonement and witnessed a truth unknown to most people.

Having witnessed the Faceless Ones worshipped by the Twilight Cultists... and facing an Old God head-on, Lorraine seems to have no chance of winning.

Mayor Bourne is clearly enjoying his meal...

Lorraine's mind, however, was filled with endless historical scenes flashing by like a revolving lantern... Was this the end for her?
