Chapter 426 The Faceless Ones of N'Zoth

Chapter 426 The Faceless Ones of N'Zoth

Sometimes, certain beings seem invincible? That's because the solution hasn't been found... When you use a divine artifact to see the essence, understand the truth, and find the subtle clues... even the gods have weaknesses.

There is no invincible defense in the world, only insufficient strength and power... There are no unsolvable areas, only areas where you haven't seen the hidden truth. There are no insurmountable enemies, only enemies who are not strong or wise enough, who haven't found the right methods and techniques for themselves...

"Everything presents a choice. If you choose to be cowardly and retreat, you will be eliminated and swallowed up..."

The teacher's teachings often come to mind.

The Faceless Ones' weakness lies in the core of the Bloodstone Egg fragments they devour... The power of the Shadow Ancient Gods originates from these fragments, from the bizarrely sacrificed souls and flesh.

Through the Mirror of Truth, Lorraine concluded that as long as the channels of sacrifice were cut off and the source of the Ancient Gods' power was severed, even the seemingly unsolvable Faceless Ones would have weaknesses.

According to Rowling's million-word ramblings, the Faceless Ones, tentacle-like creatures, are the creation of N'Zoth, the 'God of a Thousand Beards,' in the epic narratives of Azeroth's chronicles...

N'Zoth, nicknamed the 'Giant Octopus,' has endless tentacles and naturally many clones...

They are particularly adept at manipulating people's minds.

......

The Qiraji are servants of C'Thun, the Thousand-Eyed Demon, and the Mantid are servants of Y'Shaarj, the Seven-Headed Demon... There is evidence that the Faceless Ones and Naga appearing here are skilled in mental manipulation, most likely originating from the Eye of Eternity deep within the Endless Sea...

The Faceless Ones are the powerful henchmen of the Old God N'Zoth, but they are nothing more than groups of invertebrate marine creatures... They were created by the Old God from real-world beings... They control many aquatic creatures.

Was it the pollutant of Azeroth's oceans, or the culprit that led mortal beings into illusion?

The 'Enlaki' mentioned by the mayor refers to the Faceless One...

They are further divided into several groups, some living in water, some living on land, and some resembling the lobster monster from Ultraman's Baltan.

......

After Lorraine put on the Mirror of Truth, she not only saw the barrier magic released by Horace, but also read the ancient stone tablets exposed after the blood dried up in the Blood Pool Altar.

The stone slab was covered with dense High Elf script, containing a great deal of information.

Most of the content praises the evil Old Gods, describes sacrificial methods, etc., and also recounts that long before the War of the Ancients, the Old Gods divided the world, and the four elemental lords were respectively controlled by "Y'Shaarj with seven heads", "Yogg-Saron with a thousand throats", "C'Thun with a thousand eyes", and the weakest "N'Zoth with a thousand whiskers".

N'Zoth, the Thousand-Bearded Demon, may seem to be the weakest of the five Old Gods, but he is actually the one who lives the most comfortable and carefree life.

When Y'Shaarj, a colossal being that had ravaged half of the continent of Azeroth, was crushed to death by Aman'Thul, the father of the Titans who descended upon the planet Azeroth.

N'Zoth immediately and wisely dodged...

Yogg-Saron was later imprisoned in Ulduar, a Titan city atop the cold mountains to the north, while C'Thun was imprisoned deep in the hot desert to the south, near Uldum, another Titan city that harbors the Origin Forge. The Qiraji have been striving to break through the seal of the Shifting Sands Wall to rescue their master.

People had largely overlooked the lost Titan city of Uldum, focusing instead on the Qiraji...

......

N'Zoth, too, could not escape the Titans' pursuit... and was sealed away in the Twilight Highlands.

When it discovered the essence of Azeroth oozing from the massive wound left when Y'Shaarj was torn out—the so-called Well of Eternity, containing the immense energy of Titan blood—N'Zoth had begun his plan many years earlier...

The majority of the Twilight Church are followers of N'Zoth.

The Faceless One is its alter ego, capable of disguising itself and moving among humans and all things...

......

Of the four elemental lords, Ragnaros the Firelord was the first native elemental leader of Azeroth to surrender and submit. He was initially a subordinate of Y'Shaarj, and later switched allegiance to N'Zoth. It was under the manipulation of N'Zoth's Twilight Cultists that Ragnaros was the first to break free.

The shadow of Blackrock Mountain has already spread to Stormwind...

Blackrock Mountain is ostensibly the territory of the Dark Iron dwarves, but in reality, they are the lowest-ranking slaves. Above the Dark Iron dwarves are the Blackrock orc clans, black dragons, emissaries of the Twilight Church, and servants of the Balrog.

As for the other two so-called Wind Elemental Lords, Al'Akir and the Earth Mother Therazane, they are still imprisoned in an unknown realm of the elemental planes. After all, their former masters, C'Thun and Yogg-Saron, who defeated them, are still trapped there.

Besides that, there's also the sixth brother...

This refers to Neptulon, the water elemental lord... He was initially an enemy of the Firelord when the Old Gods and Titans first descended upon Azeroth. The water and fire elementals fought each other endlessly, and Therazane, the Stone Mother, the Earth Mother, occasionally clashed with both sides. Overall, he tended to slumber underground.

The Wind Elemental Lords always looked down on the Balrog, resulting in the Wind Elemental Lords almost never winning a single battle against him; even Prince Sandra the Windseeker was betrayed by his own minions. When the Balrog led an attack as servants of the Old Gods, the Wind Elementals suffered a crushing defeat.

All elemental beings were once servants of the Old Gods, but they were not a unified force. Even during the Dark Empire era ten thousand years ago, the Old Gods still fought amongst themselves, and the elemental lords continued to vie for territory...

The defeated Prince Sunderland, the Windseeker, had his soul split in two and imprisoned in two separate keys...

The two keys were kept by two of Balrog's main henchmen: Garr, the earth elemental lord, and Baron Geddon, the fire elemental lord. They were actually traitors who followed Balrog in defeating the remaining air, earth, and water elementals.

Among them, the water element essentially gave up resisting...

When the Titans descended and destroyed Y'Shaarj, the Old God, the remaining Old Gods were imprisoned... Even the Old Gods' armies and insectoid minions were defeated by the ten Guardians created by the Titans...

These are "Azadas, King of the Earth; Loken, King of Wisdom; Thorim, King of the Storms; Hodir, King of the Ice; Mimiron, King of Creation; Freya, King of Life; Tyr, King of Order; Ra-den, the High Guardian; and Odin, the Chief Administrator."

In reality, these guardians are both jailers left behind by the Titans and avatars overseeing and managing the order of Azeroth... The Titans of the Pantheon await the day when the Azerothian Star Soul awakens and becomes the new Titan!

In subsequent developments, after the Titans left... conflicts also arose within the Pantheon Titans, with the Dark Titan Sargeras parting ways with the other Titans and even engaging in a fierce battle.

The crux of the conflict is how to deal with the corrupted nascent Titan soul of Azeroth...

Over the next 100,000 years...

From their birth to their decline, the original race of trolls evolved into night elves from the dark trolls who were influenced by the well waters near the Well of Eternity... They gradually grew stronger and established the Kaldorei Elf Empire.

Queen Azshara of the Kaldorei Highborne did something that provokes the Burning Legion's invasion through the Well of Eternity... For the first time, the Wildlands demigods fought desperately against the Burning Legion's demonic invasion. Malorne, the white stag god and companion of Elune, also perished in the battle. Cenarius, the forest god, is the son of Elune and the white stag...

In that battle, the boar god Agamaggan, the bears Usol and Usok, and the white stag god Malorne died, the wolf god Goldrinn was injured and infected... The rest of the wild demigods either fell into slumber in the Emerald Dream, went missing, or were suspected of being corrupted.

Some of the wilderness demigods did not heed the call of the elves and forest gods to fight against the demons, since the demons were summoned by the elven queen Azshara herself.

The reason is that they are obsessed with so-called powerful magical forces and attempt to control the Well of Eternity.

In fact, this was exactly the opening that the Dark Titan Sargeras found...
