It's Perfectly Normal for my Slime to beat up a Dragon, Right?

Ch. 150 - Are People Cutting in Line to Get Reborn These Days?

"What the fuck!"The floored Director scrambled to his feet, opening with a choice selection of the national vocabulary.

He never would've imagined anyone could be this unhinged — throwing hands the second words failed.

Director Lin's eyes blazed with fury. "Who the hell are you people?! Call the police!"

For a senior year Director to get dropkicked by a student — he'd lost a ton of face.

"Descendants of the Dragon!"

Chen Shu dusted off his pant leg and said it like he was discussing the weather.

The guy was just a grade director — he wasn't even a Beast Tamer. Chen Shu had nothing to fear.

A regular person dared to get in his face? Unacceptable.

"Who's causing trouble here?!"

A man in black walked over, brow furrowed, looking stern.

"Hm? A Black Iron-rank Beast Tamer?"

Chen Shu's eyebrow twitched. He spun on his heel with a flourish and called out: "Teacher Shen, someone's here for you!"

"..."

Shen Wushuang's mouth twitched. He just knew that tagging along with Chen Shu to Nanjiang First High would end in disaster.

So he was here to wipe the kid's ass? Great.

"I'm Shen Wushuang, Special Training instructor from Nanjiang Second High."

He stepped forward, expression calm as he faced the man.

Having an S-rank contract spirit made the guy a legitimate powerhouse even among Black Iron-rank Beast Tamers.

The man said coldly, "You brought students here to start trouble?"

Shen Wushuang shrugged. "Who said anything about trouble? This is a challenge — well within the rules."

"As for the Director over there, he and my student were just... roughhousing."

The man snorted. "Ridiculous! I'm asking you to leave Nanjiang First High. Now."

"Hold on!"

At that moment, a middle-aged man arrived at the school gate.

It was Nanjiang First High's principal.

The principal smiled. "Your principal already contacted me. I just hadn't had time to pass the word along."

"Since you insist on a challenge, be our guests!"

With that, the principal sidled over to the Director and whispered, "Just let the students teach him a lesson."

The Director smirked and nodded without another word.

"Teacher Wang, you're the Special Training Class instructor. Please organize things."

The man in black led the four of them into the Beast Taming Arena.

"Lin Ziyan lost?"

Wang Feng eyed Shen Wushuang's group, frowning.

Lin Ziyan had gone out to challenge other schools earlier, but he'd never come back — and now Nanjiang Second High was the one showing up to issue challenges.

Chen Shu cleared his throat. "Friendly reminder — he didn't just lose. He got obliterated."

"By you?"

Wang Feng's eyes were full of doubt. Lin Ziyan's Shadow Beast was extremely powerful. There shouldn't have been any way it ended badly.

"I don't remember you at all."

He made a point of knowing all the top students from rival schools. It came with the territory of being a Special Training instructor — he had to know his enemy.

Chen Shu flashed a wide grin. "That's fine. After today, you will."

Wang Feng scoffed. "Cocky little brat!"

While they'd been talking, the group arrived at First High's Beast Taming Arena.

The Special Training Class students were already lined up neatly. When the visitors walked in, every head turned.

When they spotted Chen Shu and his crew, confusion rippled through the ranks.

Wang Feng addressed the class: "Students, Nanjiang Second High wants to challenge our class!"

Stunned silence... followed by scattered snickers.

"Teacher, let me handle this!"

A boy stepped forward, confidence radiating from his face.

Wu Xian was one of the class's bottom-tier students. He'd been getting his ass kicked so often he was developing PTSD.

Now that he finally had a chance to shine, there was no way he'd pass it up.

Chen Shu stepped to the front and summoned his Golden Slime.

The Slime was fast asleep, a bubble dangling from the corner of its mouth. The picture of harmlessness.

"An F-rank Slime?! That's the challenger?!"

First High's Special Training students' eyes nearly popped out of their skulls. All they saw was a dozing Slime sitting there.

The sight short-circuited their brains entirely.

"Are you sure you're not here for comedy?"

Wang Feng turned to Shen Wushuang's group, mouth twitching.

Any lingering belief that Lin Ziyan had actually lost evaporated on the spot. He must've skipped Second High and challenged a different school instead.

"Is there a rule saying F-rank contract spirits can't fight?"

Chen Shu raised an eyebrow, unbothered.

"Let me go! Teacher!"

"Me! Pick me!"

"Nobody steal this from me!"

The Special Training students erupted in a frenzy of volunteers. Beating an F-rank contract spirit would bring glory to the school — was there anything easier in this world?

Xu Xingxing and Xie Sunan exchanged a look, the corners of their mouths curling with knowing amusement.

Are people cutting in line to get reborn these days?

In the end, a Level 6 Beast Tamer with a B-rank spirit got the slot.

"Deng Yuan, you're up!"

A short boy strutted out, brimming with confidence, looking like he owned the place.

"Leave it to me, Teacher!"

A massive grey-scaled lizard materialized, its tail swishing back and forth.

"Hey, Old Wang — your students seem pretty eager. How about we make this interesting with a little wager?"

Chen Shu's eyes darted around as he spoke.

"Fuck YOU — you're the Old Wang here!"

Wang Feng's mouth spasmed. This punk had zero respect, calling him by that name like they were old buddies — completely disregarding his status as a Black Iron-rank Beast Tamer.

He'd also recognized Shen Wushuang's identity by now, which made him reluctant to make any rash moves.

Wang Feng had once had the privilege of witnessing Shen Wushuang bury someone...

"What kind of wager?" he asked.

Chen Shu grinned wide. "Simple! If I beat your entire class, I want twenty High-Grade Beast Orbs!"

"And if you lose?"

"I'll give you forty High-Grade Beast Orbs!"

Chen Shu's offer stunned Wang Feng into silence. He looked the boy up and down repeatedly.

Forty orbs was close to five million yuan. The kid was either an idiot or genuinely strong.

Chen Shu's words actually shook his confidence...

The students, on the other hand, didn't think that far ahead. Five million yuan — even split evenly, each person would get over two hundred thousand.

The excitement was palpable. Some were already mentally spending their share.

Chen Shu's voice took on a tempting lilt: "Come on — a deal this good and you're passing it up?"

Shen Wushuang's mouth twitched. You little bastard. You're really going to squeeze every last drop of value out of everyone around you, playing both sides for profit...

"Fine! It's a bet!"

Wang Feng glanced at one boy in the class. The boy smiled with easy composure and gave a calm nod.

Just like that, Wang Feng's confidence solidified.

He turned to his fighter. "Deng Yuan — give it everything you've got!"

Deng Yuan nodded. "I'll show you the gap between First High and—"

BOOM!

He didn't even finish his trash talk. The Rock Lizard let out a pitiful wail and was sent flying, crashing hard on the ground below the arena platform.

"You… you have no martial ethics!"

Deng Yuan's eyes went wide, filled with utter disbelief.

It was already over before it even started?

Chen Shu grinned. "Next! I'm on a schedule! Sorry about that!"
