Li Lianshan issued the order, and of course, his subordinates dared not disobey. Immediately, someone went to gather manpower and rushed towards the waste treatment plant.Meanwhile, Li Lianshan wasn't willing to hang up the phone. He nervously said, "Ye Zi, I've already sent people over. What's the situation on your end now? How did you get this number? Why didn't you call my mobile directly? What's happening over there?"

"I called you guys first, but your phones were all turned off." Ye Qing said.

"Turned off? Impossible!" Li Lianshan took out his phone, glanced at it, and immediately slapped himself, saying, "Damn, it's out of battery."

Zhao Chengshuang also took out his phone, and just like Li Lianshan, his phone was out of battery too.

Indeed, the incident erupted last night, and they immediately brought people over. They had been busy here for a day and a night, and the phones were almost never idle, so of course, they ran out of power. They had been so worried about Ye Qing's situation that they hadn't even thought to check the phones, so they didn't even realize they were dead.

Li Lianshan and Zhao Chengshuang exchanged a glance and finally understood how this call ended up in the hands of this police officer. It turns out the police station helped make the connection. Fortunately, the officer's phone still had power; otherwise, this call would have been missed!

"So, how did you end up at that waste treatment plant? And what happened over there? Who did you run into conflict with?" Li Lianshan asked.

Ye Qing replied, "It's a long story. Anyway, it was some local thugs, a few members of a street racing gang, a bit of a scuffle. I'm afraid they might come back for revenge, and I'm injured and immobile. If a fight breaks out, it's going to be troublesome."

"How about you help coordinate with the local police to lend a hand?" Li Lianshan suggested.

"No way!" Zhao Chengshuang immediately shook his head, speaking in a low voice, "Anyone involved with a street racing gang is likely from a wealthy family, with some influence locally, and possibly some connections with the police. You never know the situation with those local cops. If they tip off those street racers and then silence Ye Qing, we might not even be able to find Ye Qing, let alone deal with anything else!"

"Really?" Li Lianshan scratched his head and said, "If you personally call them, would they still dare to do such a thing?"

"Better safe than sorry; who knows how daring these people can be?" Zhao Chengshuang paused before continuing, "Besides, we don't know how far things have escalated. If I were to call personally, they'd realize it's a big deal. If things are truly out of control, there's no guarantee they wouldn't go all out in a last-ditch effort!"

"That's true—better safe than sorry!" Li Lianshan said, pacing back and forth anxiously, "So... what do we do now? It really takes time for my guys to get there."

Zhao Chengshuang was silent for a moment before gritting his teeth and saying, "Damn, it seems we have no choice but to play hardball."

"What do you mean by playing hardball?" Li Lianshan stared and said, "Hurry and figure out a way to get some people over there."

Zhao Chengshuang said, "We can dispatch a helicopter directly from the military region, and it could arrive in twenty minutes if we're fast!"

Li Lianshan was initially taken aback, but then immediately said, "What are we waiting for? Hurry up and call your dad!"

Zhao Chengshuang didn't hesitate. Actually, dispatching a helicopter from the military region was against the rules. But given the dire situation and his relationship with Ye Qing, he was willing to take the risk. The three children were huddled inside the shack, trembling in fear from what had just happened. Although the older boy had fought desperately, they were still just children. Now, in the silence that followed, they felt more lonely and helpless. Without the protection of adults, how could they possibly contend with the Street Racing Gang?

The protective dog had been injured, and after being thrown around a few times, it was even more hurt. It lay on the ground beside three little pups, who, though still unaware of the world, sensed their mother's weariness and simply stayed around her without causing trouble.

Seeing this, Ye Qing couldn't help but sigh. He could no longer think of anything else; he just wanted Li Lianshan and Zhao Chengshuang's reinforcements to arrive quickly to ensure the safety of the three children and the dogs.

But what was meant to come, ultimately, came.

Ye Qing hadn't even hung up the phone when the sound of roaring motorcycles echoed in again. Hearing this sound, the three children shivered in fear. As for the protective dog, which had been lying tired, it suddenly stood up and ran to the entrance, barking loudly outside. However, being small and seriously injured, it seemed so frail standing at the entrance. Yet, even though it was frail, it didn't retreat an inch, continuing to bark fiercely and bear its teeth in an attempt to deter the people outside.

The older boy stood up as well. He had found a metal rod from somewhere, and though his body was trembling, he clenched his teeth, holding the rod, and stood in front of the shack. With his frail body, he shielded his two younger sisters and protected the home.

At this point, Ye Qing knew that words were useless. He steadied himself against the stone wall beside him, managing to stand up. After a day's training, he could stand, but not walk. However, he could stand on the small cart and use his hands to move along the wall.

The roar of the motorcycles continued for a long time, but they didn't charge forward. As Ye Qing and the older boy were puzzled, suddenly, the protective dog began barking fiercely again. This time, however, it was barking upwards.

Following the dog's gaze, Ye Qing saw two men carrying a large iron cage approaching. Judging by their attire, they were clearly members of the Street Racing Gang.

Seeing the men, Ye Qing furrowed his brows slightly. After a moment of silence, he hastily said, "Quick, call the dog back; their target is the dog!"

"Hahaha..." The two men laughed triumphantly after succeeding, and one of them turned and shouted, "Hu, it's done, you can come over now!"

The roar of motorcycles finally approached, and under Ye Qing's watchful eyes, over a dozen motorcycles charged in, all part of the nearby Street Racing Gang. Among them were several Ye Qing had seen before, like Sulon and others.

Over a dozen motorcycles came to a stop, with more than twenty men surrounding the exit. Leading them was Hu, who had earlier been spotted by Ye Qing. He got off his bike leisurely, his arm around the waist of a long-legged woman, glancing indifferently at the group before focusing on Sulon.

"Sulon, are these the people you mentioned?" Hu sneered, "It's just these few pitiful beggars that beat you up?"

"Well..." Sulon was embarrassed, glancing at the dog, and muttered, "Hu, mainly they set the dog on us. Otherwise, how could we fear them?"

"Bullshit, it's just a protective dog; how much of a threat could it be?" Hu said dismissively, "You idiots, making me lose face. But since you're my brother, I'll help you take care of this. First, let's deal with these dogs. Go, grab those three little pups too, and throw them into the cage. Let me show you how to handle these damned dogs!"

"Yes!" Sulon responded, leading three of the men to chase and catch the three little pups.
